Amami brown sugar shochu "Sato no Akebono" made with black koji. The name comes from the wish "to bring dawn to the village of Amami."

Black koji is a traditional koji that has been used for making shochu in Ryukyu and southern Kyushu since ancient times. Shochu made with black koji is typically characterized by its aroma and deep flavor, but this product has been distilled under reduced pressure to create a slightly lighter taste.
